Byzantines, Croats, Carolingians

The exhibition named Bizantini, Croati, Carolingi. Alba e tramonto di regni e imperi took place in Brescia in cooperation with the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments from September 9th, 2001 till January 6th, 2002.

The exhibition was held in the City Museum, i.e. the Benedictine convent that was founded by Desiderio, one of the last Langobard kings, and his wife Brescia-born Ansa.

Comprising a larger part of the exhibits from the exhibition Croats and Carolingians and completing it with other finds, this exhibition represents a starting-point for the systematic presentation and better understanding of the cultural and monumental heritage of mediaeval Croatia and Europe.
